Glojin – Epic Bliss

Biography:

The story of Jennifer Hicks, better known to us as GLOJIN, begins in Jan 2007, when she fell in love with Electronic Dance Music and first placed her hands on some vinyl. Starting out with spinning dirty break-beat tracks, as her passion for music evolved she slowly developed an interest in house before finally falling passionately in love with trance music.

Her unique style shows true to her roots and evolution through EDM, consisting primarily of Tech Trance, Hard Trance, and Psy Trance, though her skill as a DJ are not limited to just those genres, as evidenced by the diversity of sets she has done in her time.
Starting out playing a gig in Fayeteville, to a crowd of over two hundred people, Glojin has made a name for herself that has helped launch her to playing parties with the likes of Diesel Boy, DJ Hive, Markus Schulz, and even the Insomniac sponsored Face Lift Tour with Paul Oakenfold, DJ Chuckie, and Nervo, across both the Forum and HALO nightclubs in Charlotte, NC.

To true underground parties and high end sophisticated clubs, she’s known as a woman with a style that can rock any crowd. High energy dance music and an ability to get anyone on the dance floor, there’s no other female DJ in the scene today with as much passion and heart for what she does.

When asked about how she approaches a set prior to a performance, her simple, yet powerful, reply was simply “I like to speak to the crowd through my music.”

In the last 2 years of residing in the States, the determination and passion has gotten her great rewards. Landing a residency at one of Charlotte's hottest night club Kazba, also opened for the well respected Sander van Doorn at the Phoenix night club, as well as Tritonal and other big name artists. Still on the upcoming rise be on the look out as she continues her journey in Europe.

Continuing her success in Norway, she has had the opportunity to play alongside big name Trance DJ's such as Solarstone, First State, Faith Mark and RAM.
2018 showed to be a great year, as she landed two gigs at the highly respected Monday Bar Cruise, getting known as the "Trance Queen"!

In the fall of 2019, she made her UK debut in Birmingham with Anomaly events. Not long after she was signed to their new artist agency, then starting the new year with her Scottish debut in Glasgow as a headliner for RE:Birth events.

Currently starting to learn production techniques, you can expect to be seeing new remixes, mashups, and even self-created tracks coming from this talented young artist soon.

One phrase that can easily describe the meaning behind Glojin's show Epic Bliss is "Let me take you on a trip". Her unique style consists mostly of Hard Trance, Trance, & Hard Dance, but is not bound nor constricted into one one specific genre. Her burnin passion and energy is what ultimately makes her sets stand out!!
