After a long awaited 8 months since I first heard of Transmission coming to Asia, I was very excited and at the same time skeptical about if it was really going to happen. It was only 5 months ago, when they officially announced (around early November 2016) that Transmission: The Lost Oracle was going to be staged at Bitec Bangkok, Thailand on 10 March 2017.

After a long year waiting, A State of Trance Festival finally came. And it still feels as it went way too fast. An event that exceeded expectations and that brought some surprises: here’s a take on this night with the facts and my personal input.
What an event! Every year ALDA events tries to raise the stakes a little higher when it comes to organizing a new edition of A State of Trance festivals in the Jaarbeurs (Utrecht, The Netherlands). It has been becoming a ritual for me, something that I have to do religiously every year. I feel lucky that with every edition I like it more, and I feel a big part of it has to do with the effort and dedication behind that both the organizers and the DJs put into this gig.
Under the theme “I live for that energy”, A State of Trance has deployed a number of renowned and up-and-coming DJs that have provided one of the best spectacles in Trance and have set high expectations for the rest of the year.
Already two weeks have passed and we’re still under the impression… we remain with this feeling of being transported into the realms of fantasy, and we want now to take you back to experience one of the best indoor festivals in the Netherlands.
Grotesque and PT Events, organization behind, have clearly created a whole new concept of spectacle for the trance lovers around the world. We’ve been witnessing along this year how Trance has made through with a huge comeback. We aren’t just talking about the regular festivals we are all used to, in this last year more and more events have been added up every month! In that sense, it was about time for organizers to realize how much more there was to offer than just quality music or big names.
As I write this article, my second editorial, I still think about the best way to deal with all the emotions and feelings I’ve been having since my first one in September. While the summer season was ideal and the summer vibes were absolutely amazing, I now feel confronted with the fact that autumn is quite a different story to tell. Also the fact that middle of the season I’ve got really sick with the flu for longer than 3 weeks, thus unable to put my spirit into the writing mode.
Anyway, September and October have been two amazing months full with huge events, and I was glad I could join many of them.
Heaven on Earth
Between Friday 24th and Sunday 26th June, extending up to Monday morning 27th, 2016 (if you happened to have gone to the after-party in Amsterdam late Sunday in the night); the best experience ever in Trance world led officially the opening of the summer season with the highest summer’s vibes at club venue Beach Fuel, in the small beach resort town of Bloemendaal aan Zee, North-Holland, the Netherlands.
9th edition Luminosity Beach Festival was my 2nd Lumi and it was a complete success from beginning to end. It was absolutely amazing. Luminosity is one of the best trance outdoor events in the world, a.k.a. Trance Heaven or Heaven on Earth.
Luminosity had all the weather credits. It was warm, clear skies opened up with beautiful colours; sunsets were amazing, not even one rain drop fell during the whole festival. Previous weeks to the event was forecasted a huge storm for Friday and Saturday. Uncertainty was in the air, up to the last moment people doubting and worrying about the weather. I was positive, was really happy to spend this especial weekend with so many friends from all over the world. The real trance adventure was on! And I was ready to party!
