Join Suzanne Chesterton as she pushes the genre boundaries of trance, progressive, house and techno with loads of exclusive new music every week on Voyager Radio. This is an outstanding hour long fully presented radio show, which encompasses Suzanne’s 20-year background in radio along with her five-year stint as the Senior Producer on Paul van Dyk’s VONYC Sessions. Since 2014, she has worked on over 250 episodes of the show at Distorted, along with many others for the likes of Martin Jensen, Markus Schulz, Dannic and Solarstone’s Pure Trance 100 – Live from the ASOT Studios in Amsterdam.

I am a 32 year old guy from the Netherlands and been a big fan of trance ever since I could listen to it in the late 90's After getting the first ever solo dj concert by Tiesto in the Gelredome on DVD I was always dreaming of playing trance myself. After Tiesto, Armin became like  the motherfigure for me in the scene. Nowadays he is a rolemodel. Not as a dj but as a person. Not for what he does but how he does it and how his personality keeps him grounded. Sadly it took me till the year 2013 before I got my own turntable (Numark Mixtrack pro) and started playing.

Pushing the boundaries of electronic music with his World Class DJ sets and consistently outstanding productions, signed to some of the world’s biggest record labels, Richard Lowe is swiftly becoming a major player in the trance scene. Over the past two years, he has firmly cemented his place in the music industry with four releases on Paul van Dyk’s VANDIT Records, three guest-mixes on VONYC Sessions and in 2017 his collaboration with trance legend, David Forbes, held the number 2 spot on the Beatport Top 100 for four days. In 2016 he made his debut on the World Stage at Ultra Music Festival in Croatia – one of only four Irish artists ever to do so! He also played at the famous Beachville Parties at Omis Croatia alongside Irish All Stars Rory Lynam + Dave Caffery where he added his own unique euphoric sound to a packed out beach . This coming 3 rd of September 2018, Richard jets off to Ibiza’s superclub “Privilage” where he joins Paul Van Dyk ,Dj Lange , Andy Moor and Ian Standerwick for this summers “Shine” Ibiza nights being held every monday night . With this being Richard’s biggest gig to date it can only be described as a dream come true to be part of a trance star studded line . Now a regular name on the billing of the UK and Ireland’s biggest clubs and festivals, alongside trance heavyweights such as Ben Nicky, Marco V, Eddie Halliwell, Binary Finary, Judge Jules, Matt Hardwick, Timo Maas, Jordan Suckley, Full Tilt and many more,, Richard Lowe is a name that has truly being cemented into the dance /trance scene Over the past five years he’s also become a familiar name on FM in Ireland, with regular guest spots on some of the countries biggest electronic music stations, including 2FM and Spin South West. Six months ago he launched his hugely successful bi-weekly residency on Groove City Radio in Scotland, broadcasting “Green Code Radio”, to a DAB and online audience of over 2 million people. Coming from a family of singers and musicians; his Dad a piper and the drummer in a local pipe band, Richard Lowe’s passion for music was in his blood from the start. Growing up in the nineties, the explosion of the European dance scene was a major influence on his tastes, with artists such as Carl Cox, Judge Jules and The Prodigy playing a key role in his musical development, but it wasn’t until he heard Paul van Dyk’s “For an Angel” in 1998, that his love for trance music was sealed. Classically trained in piano and music theory from an early age, he then chose to focus his efforts into creating electronic music, studying music production at the Sound Training Centre in Dublin and at the Viva School of Electronic Music in Limerick. He was also heavily influenced by DJ pals, Full Tilt (AKA Timmy & Tommy), and began making his own tracks at the Full Tilt Studios. So, after a decade of playing at raves and DJing at Irelands top commercial clubs, Richard’s producer career finally kicked off in 2011 when Scottish trance legend, David Forbes, took an interest in his music and signed his first track to Aria Digital. Since then, he’s worked alongside some the biggest names in the industry including vocalists Deirdre McLaughlin and Karen Kelly. David Forbes has also become a good friend of Richard’s, helping him in the studio and collaborating with him on three out of his last eight releases. Richard continues to be inspired by Paul van Dyk, but his music is now also heavily influenced by the likes of Above & Beyond, Armin van Buuren, David Forbes, John O’Callaghan, NU NRG, Solarstone, Cosmic Gate and Alex M.O.R.P.H.
