From entering an airport or boarding a plane with excitement, when you are one step closer, when each of it is imbued by the synthesis of world’s leading trance music act, Above & Beyond, and performance in their home, London.
The unique event of trance trio, such like only once or twice a year, this time was arranged in London’s Finsbury park, Creamfields’ Steel Yard megastructure. As it was stated, Steel Yard currently is the largest structure of its kind in Europe. In numbers? 15000 visitors can party inside the construction at once, so it becomes one of the biggest venues in London to host legends Above & Beyond and their own event this year.
The night right before the yearly A State Of Trance festival in Utrecht, Netherlands, I have been left without choice for several years in a row – Luminosity events is the only answer for this evening to kick off the weekend-long trance celebrations.

When such a huge star of Vocal Trance music is coming to your city, you can’t miss a chance to take an interview, so even if it took over 30 hours for Emma Hewitt to come to Europe from Australia, she still agreed to have one, revealing some news and interesting facts about her past and future projects, how difficult it can be to find a producer for solo songs, who usually pay – producers or vocalists, and more facts, which you can read below!
The 20th of January was such a significant day for Maltese DJ and producer Tenishia. His performance with Malta Philharmonic Orchestra has been added to official opening celebration of Valletta – European Capital of Culture 2018. TEMPO concert’s iconic tracks, starting from 70s, were performed live at the historic square in front of 5000 spectators. The new step for Tenishia, who had been raising this idea for years. A new step for trance music to be heard probably on the highest level it had reached.
Trance music sounds under Valletta night skies, in front of president’s palace, magically lighted up and covered in flying visuals, at historical square, the part of opening celebration which had attracted 100 000 visitors to golden, splendid and decorated Malta’s capital streets. The most beautiful sounds of ages. The dream that Tenishia has invited to.
As it’s known, Trance is a very specific genre of music, which has a somewhat limited amount of followers around the world. While in countries like Netherlands, Germany, Czech Republic, Poland etc. it is getting quite a lot of support, in many other countries it has not enough popularity for promoters to invite Trance producers and event organizers, for instance, the Baltic countries: Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia. However, it’s too early to lose hope, because support of this unique music is growing in Estonia, which leads to more events, but is it beneficial to organizers? How long will it continue? And what can improve the situation? Let’s think!
After over 2 years, dreams came true: I finally got the chance to come for Grotesque Indoor Festival 300 (GIF300)! If a few years ago I was just curious about it, it wasn’t until last year that I promised myself (and also to RAM, in fact), that I will make it to the next edition – and I did it! Its super friendly atmosphere, that surprised me, and intriguing (also live) ‘decorations’, which make this event quite unique, compared to other Trance events I’ve visited. But what comes next?
Three weeks ago another DJ duo had their debut on Transmission Festival in Prague, at sold-out O2 Arena. No wonder they have been chosen to start the night, as their last years were really successful. We were lucky to catch them for a nice talk and here it is – interview with legendary Super8 & Tab!
Next week Amsterdam will host one of the biggest electronic music events in the world, including festivals, conferences, playground etc., where you can hear and meet a lot of producers and DJs. As for Trance music lovers, we are interested in events of our genre, and there will be some every day. Who is ready for 4-5 days-in-a-row-party?
